Hutchins Jewelry is a family-owned business that has been a part of Jenison for 60 years. It was started by Ben & Katy Hutchins in 1966 in the same plaza where the store is located today. It is a business that was built on trust, quality and honesty.
Ben discovered his life's trade early on while still in high school, tinkering with watches at a jewelry store in Montague. He went on to complete the Elgin Watchmakers School program-what was supposed to take two years, he mastered in just two months. Hutchins Jewelry became not just a business, but a second home-where friendships were built alongside jewelry repairs. Remarkably, Ben continued to work two days a week at the store right up until his passing in September 2025. He cherished his loyal customers and friends.
Hutchins Jewelry will be closing November 25, 2025. Thank you for supporting our business for an amazing 60 years.
